bin Mus'ad Goes 5-for-5
Friday, August 25th , 2062
Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit ones are a whole lot rarer. It happened at Dunn Field when Mohammed bin Mus'ad of Sacramento scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the Valencia Stars.
He went 5-for-5 in a career performance to help the Mad Popes get by the Stars, 9-0. The third baseman was in a talkative and jovial mood after the game, saying his swing "was really, really there today."
"I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens, good things happen," he said. "You know, like going 5-for-5. I could get used to days like this."
Mohammed bin Mus'ad singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
bin Mus'ad is batting .290 this year with 17 home runs, 72 RBIs and 55 runs scored. He has 131 hits in 451 at-bats.
