Bears End Kirila Streak Tuesday, April 25th , 2062 Ekela Kirila's sizzling hitting streak was snapped at 20 games, as the Newton Falls Flying Tigers dropped their contest with the New Bern Bears, 5-2, at Tiger Den. Kirila failed to get a hit, finishing 0-for-3. After the game Kirila spoke with BNN and called his effort "quite a streak." "I just ran into some good pitching today," he said. So far this season, Kirila is hitting .352 with 5 home runs, 18 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has 32 hits in 91 at-bats and a .348 OBP. |
