García Hits in 31 Consecutive Games Wednesday, June 21st , 2062 The number just keeps getting higher. Peoria shortstop Juan García has now extended his hitting string to 31 games. He did it today with 3 hits in 5 at-bats as the Peoria won the game, 6-4, over the Burlington Big Eyed Fish at Bass Pro Shop Field. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Burlington manager Juan Heredia said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now."
