Edmonton Celebrates Wild Card Win Friday, September 1st , 2062 The Edmonton Jackrabbits clubhouse was filled with loud music and revelry late into the night, as the team celebrated a Donaldo League wild card position. The team, whose record stands at 83-56, battled throughout the year, but ultimately saw the quest for the playoffs come down to the season's final games. "I'd be lying if I said we knew we were going to make it," said reliever Kelly Sims. "We did have confidence, but in the back of your mind you always wonder what's going to happen. There were some good teams pushing us." Now the Jackrabbits don't have to worry, as they are in position to potentially win the 8th Warren Cox League championship in franchise history. |
