5-Hit Barrage by Spradling Friday, September 1st , 2062 Garland Spradling did a number on the Snow Creatures in the 17-1 Reno victory -- and the number was 5. The Aces first baseman banged out 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Shotz Field to lead his club past the Alpine Valley Snow Creatures. "I felt good in the batter's box," he said. "I had confidence in my swing and knew that it was there and that I could get the job done." Garland Spradling struck out in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, hit a three-run triple in the 5th, singled in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
