Thursday, September 28th , 2062
At the age of 23, Kelly Sims says he still has a lot to learn about life in Warren Cox League.
But he certainly seems to be a quick study, as the Edmonton Jackrabbits reliever was better than all others this year and has captured the 2062 Donaldo League Reliever of the Year Award.
"I hope to win this a few more times before all is said and done in my career," the Brandon, Florida native said.
For the season, Sims had 39 saves in 58 relief appearances, which totaled 73.1. He fanned 67 betters, while walking 18 and put up a record of 8-7 to go with his 2.58 ERA.
He received 30 first place votes out of a possible 32. George Vallis of the Trenton Generals finished second in voting with 1 first place vote, while Carlos Hernández of the New Bern Bears finished third with 1 first place vote.
