Super Season, Durango Wins Jorge Olivas Batter Award

The future looks extremely bright for Jesús Durango. At the age of 20, many players are still trying to find their way in Warren Cox League.
Durango has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Donaldo League Jorge Olivas Batter Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .295 this year, that's for sure," the catcher said.
The Trenton Generals star also put up a .377 on-base percentage this year, with 132 hits, 28 doubles, 3 triples, 25 home runs, 80 RBIs and 75 runs scored.
He received 32 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Pablo Vásquez of the New Bern Bears finished second in voting, while Víctor Fernández of the New Bern Bears finished third.
