Quintanilla Goes 5-for-6
Tuesday, April 17th , 2063
5 times is the charm -- at least for Santiago Quintanilla.
The Providence Bees third baseman tore up the Columbus Patriot Pandas to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at Patriot's Park. The offensive onslaught from Quintanilla powered the 13-3 Bees win.
"Quintanilla was a tough out," Columbus manager Cédrick Morency said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."
Santiago Quintanilla singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, singled in the 7th, doubled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
Thus far this season in 14 games, Quintanilla is batting .439 with 2 home runs, 11 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 25 hits in 57 at-bats.
