Consecutive-Game Hit Streak Continues for Gross Friday, June 1st , 2063 Bismarck lost to the Santa Cruz Spartans, 5-4, at Satchel Paige Field, but Bruno Gross kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Churchills right fielder has now delivered hits in 20 straight games. "Bruno has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Bismarck manager Robinson Cruz told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Bruno Gross singled in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, walked in the 7th, grounded out in the 10th and flied out in the 12th.
