Zippro Collects Cycle
Sunday, June 24th , 2063
Getting 4 hits in a game is no easy feat, but doing it to hit for the cycle is even more rare.
Bengt Zippro of the Mississauga Spartans pulled it off at Shotz Field, going 4-for-4 against the Alpine Valley Snow Creatures. His batting escapades sparked the Spartans to a win, 15-11.
Zippro tallied 5 runs and drove in 4 during the game. Hitting for the cycle is particularly rare because of the different skills required - enough power for a home run, enough speed for a triple and enough patience at the plate to see at least four hittable balls.
"It just happened," Zippro said to reporters after the win. "Must have been fate or something, I wasn't expecting it. Heck, I wasn't even really trying for it."
Bengt Zippro doubled in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Roberto Swinson in the 5th, hit a three-run triple in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
So far this year, Zippro is batting .258 with 1 home run and 10 RBIs.
