Kellar Raps Providence for 5 Hits
Friday, July 20th , 2063
Chris Kellar found his groove in today's game versus the Providence Bees and wrote his name in the league record book. His 5-for-5 performance at the plate unfortunately wasn't enough for the Newton Falls Flying Tigers, as the club lost the game, 9-5.
The 22-year-old third baseman told the press "it was one of those days where everything clicked."
"I made solid contact, and the ball dropped in," Kellar said.
Chris Kellar singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Eugenio González in the 4th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Kellar currently has a .270 batting average with 99 hits, 17 homers, 65 RBIs, 49 runs scored and a .350 OBP.
