Aguerre's Season Could be Over
Thursday, August 18th , 2061
The doctors have spoken and Juan Aguerre of the Mankato Moondogs didn't like what he heard. The 24-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Aguerre sustained his season-ending injury during the Long Island Legion game yesterday at Tigers Park at Harbour Arena. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Mankato medical staff reported Aguerre had a torn rotator cuff and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months.
This season in 7 relief appearances, Aguerre has thrown 17 innings and collected no saves. His won-lost record is 0-0 with a 6.88 ERA.
