Thunder Bay's Torres Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits Monday, April 10th , 2062 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Jesús Torres -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage and sparkled on the diamond at The Xerox Fortress, but the performance lost a little luster when the Bay Bears were downed, 14-13, by the Wise Heaters. After his glittering performance, the Thunder Bay catcher told the press that he "just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat." His batting theory paid dividends today as he slammed 5 hits in 8 tries and put his name in the record book. "I just wish we had added a win in the record book, too," Torres said. Jesús Torres doubled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Hiroyuki Yagawa in the 5th, walked in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 9th, grounded out in the 11th, doubled in the 14th, singled in the 16th and struck out in the 17th.
