Castillo Parks 3 for Eau Claire Wednesday, August 2nd , 2062 The old superstition that "bad news comes in threes" certainly came true for the Silver Springs Tarpons. Eau Claire left fielder Cris Castillo tripled up on the home runs to propel the Cavaliers to a win, 10-3, at Glass Bottom Park. "We had our chances to win the game, but we just didn't come through," Silver Springs manager Juan Betancourt said. "Castillo hit the heck out of the ball." In addition to the homers, Castillo collected 3 hits in 5 at-bats, 5 RBIs and scored 3 runs. "Easy swings get you home runs," he said after the game. "I kept telling myself not to press. They have to be nice and easy swings." Cris Castillo struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Nuri bin Kalil in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Wasim bin Talal in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Wasim bin Talal in the 8th. Currently Castillo is batting .241 with 20 home runs, 57 RBIs and 40 runs scored. |
