Toro Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
Monday, August 28th , 2062
Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Toledo's 9-2 win over Eau Claire, center fielder Pedro Toro was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Carson Park.
"To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Toro said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close."
Pedro Toro singled in the 1st, doubled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Francisco Carrasco in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
So far this season, Toro has gotten 133 hits in 408 at-bats for a .326 batting average with 9 home runs. His stats include 67 RBIs and 91 runs scored. He has played in 96 games.
