Long Island Playoff Hopes Officially Zero Friday, September 1st , 2062 The Long Island Legion were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. Luis Durham of the Legion said it's a tough way to finish out the season. "To be eliminated from playoff contention in the last few games, it's not easy," he said. The Legion have missed the playoffs 57 times in their 68 years as a Charley Pegler League franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 4th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2058. In the last 10 seasons, the Legion have only made the playoffs once. |
