"We battled, day in and day out," said third baseman Domingo Pinto. "This is one to savor, as it was close right down to the end and that puts a lot of pressure on a team." With a record of 76-64, the Vikings have officially won their 10th division crown. Manager Eric Cross said there's "a lot of pride and excitement" involved in coming out on top of the Baxter League Northeast. The club will now be looking to win the 2nd Charley Pegler League championship in franchise history. |
