Boulder Crush Guaranteed Top Spot in Provost League West Central Monday, September 4th , 2062 Equal parts jubilation and relief swept over the Boulder Crush clubhouse tonight. The team captured the Provost League West Central crown, by the slimmest of margins. "We're happy, excited, overjoyed, relieved, anxious - a lot of emotions going through our heads," said shortstop José Carlos Deleón. "It's really hard to describe the wave of feelings you get going through a pennant race like this." The Crush can now put the pennant push behind them and focus on the postseason, where the club will enter the bid for the Pegler Series with a 89-52 record. It is the 17th time the Crush have won the division in their team history and they are seeking a 4th Charley Pegler League championship. |
