Torres Named Top Reliever for BL Friday, September 29th , 2062 Carlos Torres said he thinks hitters often underestimate him, as he's only 22 years old. But he'll certainly be getting a lot more respect now, as the Silver Springs Tarpons rising star has won the Baxter League Reliever of the Year Award for 2062. He captured the award on the strength of his 1.82 ERA over 64.1 innings. He also had 32 saves in 58 relief appearances, 48 strikeouts and only 13 walks. He received 25 first place votes out of a possible 32. Manuel Parra of the Toledo Liberty finished second in voting with 5 first place votes, while Brenton Clinkscales of the Shreveport Mudcats finished third with 1 first place vote.
