Morales Bashes 5 Base Hits Thursday, April 5th , 2063 Wise second baseman Jesús Morales added his name to the record books with a 5-hit spree at Little Debbie Stadium "The Deb", but found his special moment spoiled when the Shreveport Mudcats took a shootout win, 13-10, over the Heaters. "I would have much preferred getting only a couple of hits and winning the game," he confessed to reporters afterward. "It's hard to go back into the clubhouse and celebrate a 5-hit game when you also lost." Heaters manager Wilson Suárez called Morales's game "a once-in-a-lifetime moment." "It's a shame the guy can't really enjoy it," the skipper said. "It's also a shame what happened with our pitching, but at least that we can try to fix." Jesús Morales doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
