Cowboys Ashe Lost for Year Saturday, June 30th , 2063 The doctors have spoken and Rich Ashe of the Billings Cowboys didn't like what he heard. The 20-year-old reliever is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Ashe sustained his season-ending injury during the Twin Falls White Pines game yesterday at Panthers Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Billings medical staff reported Ashe had a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 9 months. For the season to date, Ashe has no saves in no relief appearances with a 2-7 record and 5.04 ERA. |
