BL Player of the Week, Minter of Silver Springs Monday, July 2nd , 2063 So far in his young career, Phil Minter has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Baxter League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 23-year-old Silver Springs Tarpons third baseman hit at a torrid .524 clip as he collected 11 hits in 21 at-bats, 2 home runs, 12 RBIs and 4 runs scored. In 78 games this season, Minter has compiled a .277 batting average with 72 hits and 11 home runs. He has also scored 32 times and knocked in 46 runs. |
