Talbot Hurls Mankato to Shutout Win Monday, July 2nd , 2063 Hal Talbot was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Portsmouth Vikings on 6 hits. "He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Portsmouth manager Eric Cross after the 5-0 loss to the Mankato Moondogs. Talbot finished with 4 strikeouts and 3 walks in a strong outing. In the postgame press conference, Mankato manager Howard White said Talbot "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
