Talbot Hurls Mankato to Shutout Win
Monday, July 2nd , 2063
Hal Talbot was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the Portsmouth Vikings on 6 hits.
"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled Portsmouth manager Eric Cross after the 5-0 loss to the Mankato Moondogs.
Talbot finished with 4 strikeouts and 3 walks in a strong outing.
In the postgame press conference, Mankato manager Howard White said Talbot "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
This year, Talbot has a 4-3 record with a 2.35 ERA.
