Bay Bears Carlos Roach Down and Out for Year Wednesday, July 4th , 2063 Whether he wants it or not, Carlos Roach of the Thunder Bay Bay Bears will be getting some R and R -- rest and relaxation. The reliever was hurt in today's Bay Bears-Capitals game while throwing a pitch. Team officials announced after the game that Roach had suffered a torn ulnar collateral ligament and would be out of action for 11-12 months. This season, Roach has accumulated no saves, registered a 6.75 ERA and struck out 11 in 10.2 innings. He also has a 1-0 record in 5 relief appearances. |
