July's #1 Starter Named in BL Wednesday, August 1st , 2063 Ramón Hernández of the Long Island Legion outdistanced his peers on the mound this month. He fashioned a fine 6-1 won-lost mark and 3.86 ERA in 8 starts to get the Baxter League Pitcher of the Month honors. Hernández had a very impressive July, finishing with 55 strikeouts in 58.1 innings and holding opposing hitters to a .262 average. In 25 starts this year, Hernández has recorded a 14-8 record and a 3.51 ERA. |
