2062 FL Top Player Trophy Given to Holter
Wednesday, September 27th , 2062
At the age of 22, Curt Holter of the Charlottesville Marching Ants could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2062 was good enough to win the third baseman the Frontier League Frank Moore Batter Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .429 batting average this year, as well as a .496 on-base percentage. He played 53 games and racked up 91 hits, 31 doubles, 3 triples, 14 home runs, 72 RBIs and 54 runs scored.
He received 24 first place votes out of a possible 32. Tatsukichi Sanu of the Charlottesville Marching Ants finished second in voting with 8 first place votes, while Brian Forrest of the Charlottesville Marching Ants finished third.
