3-Homer Hat Trick for Kimura Sunday, February 23rd , 2059 It was a good day for the PlayStation Gamers and an exceptional one for Eisaku Kimura. The 14-year-old right fielder sent three bombs out of the park to help the Gamers beat the Barclays Eagles, 22-6, at Ballpark of San Antonio HS. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Kimura said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 5 runs and smacked 3 hits in 4 at-bats. Eisaku Kimura grounded out in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Bryan Curson in the 3rd, was hit by a pitch in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Carlton Ingleby in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Brad Reeves in the 7th and walked in the 8th. So far this year, Kimura is hitting .301 with 3 home runs. |
