The Exxon Oilers were mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. "There are a lot of good clubs in High School All-Star Teams and unfortunately we couldn't quite make it into that elite group this year," said Oilers manager Iván García. This is the club's 3rd playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2058. In total, the Oilers have missed the playoffs 22 times in their 27-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Oilers have missed the playoffs 5 times. |
