Díaz Cracks 6 Hits Thursday, January 12th , 2062 Adobe Acrobats third baseman Jesús Díaz had a day to remember at Hillcats Ballpark, ripping apart the Publix Meatheads and sparking the 18-9 Acrobats win. Díaz wrote his name in the record books with a 6-hit barrage, finishing his special day 6-for-7. "I'm usually a first ball hitter," Díaz told BNN reporters in the postgame press conference. "I think pitchers think batters are going to let the first one go by. I never do. I've always found that it's better to pull the trigger early in the count. Pitchers get real nasty when they get ahead of you, so I try to avoid it." Jesús Díaz singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Alfred Mangrum in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Bill Anderson in the 9th and struck out in the 9th.
