Meatheads Won't Get Playoff Berth Sunday, February 12th , 2062 Members of the Publix Meatheads are left wondering what could have been today, as the team has been eliminated from postseason contention. "You look back at a handful of games that easily could have gone the other way for us," said reliever Jorge Leffler. "We really think we were good enough to get to the playoffs this year, so it stings." This is the club's 8th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2054. In total, the Meatheads have missed the playoffs 22 times in their 28-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Meatheads have only made the playoffs once. Publix last won the Round 4 in 2035. |
