Hit Parade: Gamboa Pops 5 Hits Friday, February 17th , 2062 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Iván Gamboa -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Mutiny Ballpark and paced the 9-8 Blues win over the Campbells Reds. After his dynamite batting performance, the Pfizer catcher told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control." His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Iván Gamboa hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Greg Reichel in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Greg Reichel in the 5th, hit an RBI double in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jesús Soto in the 8th.
