McDaniels Bangs Out 5 Base Hits
Tuesday, January 2nd , 2063
Firestone third baseman Philip McDaniels had a day to remember, 5-for-5 against the Berkshire Hathaway Wolves at Field of the Mighty Gulls as the Fires picked up a win, 27-14.
"He was patient up there," Firestone skipper Pedro Ojeda told the press after the game. "I like the way he waited for his pitch and wasn't overly aggressive. McDaniels has a tendency to chase bad balls sometimes."
Philip McDaniels hit a two-run home run off Wilbert Herring in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, walked in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Ron Reaves in the 6th, walked in the 8th and singled in the 9th.
