Guevara Sizzles with 20-Game Batting Streak Wednesday, January 17th , 2063 Bartolo Guevara ran his hitting streak to 20 straight games at Champions Stadium, when he collected 2 hits in 5 at-bats. The feat came, however, as the Union Pacific Flyers dropped the game, 10-6, to the Mobil Pegasus. "Hey, the streak is great -- I hope it never ends," Guevara said later. "But I'm not happy to lose the game." Bartolo Guevara singled in the 1st, flied out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 8th. This year, Guevara has hit at a .481 clip with 18 RBIs, 5 home runs and 22 runs scored. |
