IBM Won't Make Playoffs Thursday, February 8th , 2063 It's now time for the IBM Machines to start turning their attention to what can be done to help improve the club for next season. The team was formally eliminated from playoff contention today for the 2063 season. "We knew a title was a long shot at this point, but mentally there's a big difference between a tiny chance and no chance at all," said Machines reliever Ricardo Peñado. The Machines have missed the playoffs 40 times in their 66 years as a High School All-Star Teams franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2061. In the last 10 seasons, the Machines have made the playoffs 6 times. IBM last won the Round 4 in 2042. |
