José Pérez of the Vanguard Voyagers had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate in his team's 34-12 win over the McDonalds Big Macs at Huntington Beach HS Grounds. "I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 15-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years." José Pérez hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, walked in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th, singled in the 7th and walked in the 8th.
