Schoesser Hit Streak Over Sunday, February 11th , 2063 It was a doubly miserable day for Carlos Schoesser of the A2O Contracting, as he saw his 26-game hitting streak end and his team lose, 23-2, to the IBM Machines at Ballpark of Toledo HS. The 15-year-old second baseman was held hitless in 1 at-bat by the Machines. "Anyone on a 26-game hitting streak is going to be a tough out," IBM manager Kendrick Roberge said later. "But we had a plan and we were careful about it, and got it done." This year, Schoesser is batting .415 with 68 hits, 5 home runs, 36 RBIs, 20 walks, .476 OBP and has scored 37 runs. |
