Martínez Keeps Hit Streak Alive Sunday, February 11th , 2063 The Allis-Chalmers Engines stopped the Pfizer Blues, 10-6, and Alonso Martínez collected a base hit yet again. The Allis-Chalmers left fielder finished with 2 hits to run his consecutive-game hitting streak to 31. "I want to get a hit every time up," a visibly excited Martínez told reporters after the contest. "I want to get a hit every game I play. Right now, I feel like I could take this streak to 100 games." Alonso Martínez flied out in the 1st, walked in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, walked in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
