30-Game Streak Ends, Gálvez Hitless
Sunday, February 11th , 2063
Carlos Gálvez, left fielder for the Pfizer Blues, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 3 tries against the Allis-Chalmers Engines. Not only did the Engines break his 30-game hitting streak, they also beat Pfizer by the score of 10-6.
"Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Gálvez said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate."
This year, Gálvez is hitting .432 with 64 hits, 4 home runs, 34 RBIs and has scored 45 runs.
