The future looks extremely bright for Bang-eun Kim. At the age of 16, many players are still trying to find their way in High School All-Star Teams.
Kim has not only found his way, he's already established himself as one of the game's brightest stars, today being named the winner of the Warren Buffett League Alberto Guzman Batter Award.
"I didn't expect to hit .519 this year, that's for sure," the first baseman said.
The Samsung Lions star also put up a .649 on-base percentage this year, with 83 hits, 17 doubles, 2 triples, 15 home runs, 56 RBIs and 66 runs scored.
He received 44 first place votes out of a possible 48. Harley Wager of the Bacardi 152s finished second in voting with 4 first place votes, while José Pérez of the Vanguard Voyagers finished third.
