Pillsbury Takes Round 1 Monday, February 25th , 2064 The Pillsbury Doughboys clubhouse was filled with glee and celebration tonight, while the Pepsi Generation room was filled with despair and sadness after the Round 1 concluded. "Someone's got to win and someone's got to lose, we're just glad we're on the good end of it tonight and can enjoy this," said Pat Jaffe, who was named MVP for a strong series of offensive performance. Pillsbury won the final game by a 27-11 count at Ballpark of Lindstrom HS and the series 4-2. Pepsi manager Manuel Salinas was simple and to-the-point in his assessment of the series. "They were the better team and deserve to move on," he said. For the series, Jaffe hit .500 with a .588 on-base percentage. He had 4 home runs, drove in 24 RBI and scored 9 runs. The Pillsbury Doughboys will play against the Buffalo Wild Wings Buffalos in the next round. Buffalo Wild Wings won their series against the McDonalds Big Macs 4 games to 1.
