SL1 Gives Best Pitcher Award Friday, September 23rd , 2061 The hottest hurler in the Sub League 1 this season was Rafael Álvarez of the Daytona Beach Cruisers. He caught the attention of everybody in the league on his way to winning the 2061 SL1 Outstanding Pitcher Award. Álvarez starred with an impressive 14-0 record in 15 starts. The Cruisers ace gave up 95 base hits and struck out 85 in 122.1 innings with a 1.10 ERA. He received 32 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Javier Soto of the Saint Johns Water Wolves finished second in voting, while Harry Thomas of the All Saints Blue Claws finished third.
