Sells 5-for-5 for Beachbums Tuesday, July 15th , 2064 It was a sensational day at the plate for Bret Sells as he led the charge to a nifty 8-4 win over the Water Wolves. The Key West center fielder was pure misery for the Saint Johns pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked with 5 hits in 5 at-bats in an explosive display of hitting. "Sells put the ball into play and he really hit it hard," said Joe Costello, manager for the Water Wolves, after the game. "When you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage. And that's what happened. I feel like we threw some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball." Bret Sells singled in the 1st, doubled in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Ratib Zahir in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
