Elisai Smacks 5 Hits for Chiefs Friday, February 3rd , 2062 Walata Elisai was at the head of a Pago Pago Chiefs hit parade at Eskimos Ballpark. The 17-year-old went to the plate 5 times and came away with 5 hits, but it was the Honiara Islanders that marched off with the 16-12 win. "We didn't have it today," griped Chiefs skipper José Navarro following the game. "Walata did fine, but as a team, we didn't do it with the bats and we didn't do it pitching." Elisai did more than fine, dominating the Islanders at the plate during his record-making 5-for-5 performance. "Each time I went to the plate, I was thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging right fielder told reporters. "When I focus on that, I usually have quality at-bats." Walata Elisai hit a solo-shot off Mataio Apolo in the 1st, singled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 10th.
