Tarawa Celebrates Wild Card Win Thursday, February 16th , 2062 The Tarawa Sun Kings clubhouse was filled with loud music and revelry late into the night, as the team celebrated a Conference 1 wild card position. The team, whose record stands at 19-22, battled throughout the year, but ultimately saw the quest for the playoffs come down to the season's final games. "I'd be lying if I said we knew we were going to make it," said reliever Abia Apia. "We did have confidence, but in the back of your mind you always wonder what's going to happen. There were some good teams pushing us." Now the Sun Kings don't have to worry, as they are in position to potentially win the 2nd Oceania Baseball Academy championship in franchise history. |
