Thursday, February 8th , 2063
Keolakupaianaha Beni went on an explosive hitting spree against the Guam Emperors at Headhunters Field, launching a trio of blasts to help the Pago Pago Chiefs win, 15-4.
The second baseman finished 4-for-4 with 4 runs scored and 6 runs batted in.
"It was just one of those days," Beni said in a postgame interview. "I don't know how to explain it. I'm just putting a good swing on the ball."
Guam skipper Rupert Nicholls said Beni was "locked-in."
"We made some pretty good pitches," he said. "Those first two homers were exactly where the pitcher wanted to put them. He's just hot right now -- you've just got to tip your hat to him."
Keolakupaianaha Beni singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Dan Fields in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Dan Fields in the 7th, walked in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jim Unknown in the 8th.
To date Beni has chalked up a .346 average with 13 home runs, driven in 39 runs and scored 31 times.
