Brisbane Advances to Round 3 Tuesday, March 6th , 2063 The Brisbane Beacons are riding high after winning the Round 2 and eliminating the Koror Checkers by a series score of 4-2. The final blow came tonight at Petah_ Tiqwa HS Grounds, when Brisbane secured its spot in the Round 3 with a 9-6 victory. "It feels good to put them away because we really didn't want to let them crawl back into this series," said shortstop Zi-xing Ting, who was named series MVP. "A team like that, you need to bury them when you get the chance." Ting certainly helped his team's cause, as he hit .522 with a .667 on-base percentage in the series. He also chipped in 3 home runs, drove in 14 RBI and scored 12 runs. The Brisbane Beacons don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Sydney Devil Bears - Suva Desperados series. Sydney leads the series 3 games to 2. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
