5-for-7 Day for Namaka
Sunday, July 1st , 2063
Maluhialani Namaka put on a hitting clinic as the Chinese Taipei Baseball Team dumped the Yinchuan Drillers, 24-0, at Drillers Ballpark.
The Chinese Taipei second baseman made Yinchuan defenders earn their pay, lashing Yinchuan pitching for 5 hits in 7 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."
"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Namaka said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."
Maluhialani Namaka singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 5th, singled in the 7th, grounded out in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.
This year, Namaka is hitting .406, produced 19 RBIs and 6 home runs, scored 25 times and gotten on base at a .479 rate.
