 | Chengdu Win League Championship Series Monday, August 29th, 2044 The Chengdu Running Rebels bandwagon is filling up fast, as the team has moved one step closer to winning a World Series championship. Chengdu downed the Guangzhao Ports 5-1 tonight at Vulcans Ballpark, to take the League Championship Series 4-1. "It seems much more real now and we're really starting to realize we've got a great shot at this thing," said Sergio Hernández, who was named series MVP. "When we play our best we're as good as anybody in the Chinese Baseball League." For the series, Hernández had 8 hits for .444, with a .500 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 4 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Chengdu Running Rebels don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Beijing Abbots - Xi'ning Wildcats series.
