Amoco's Critchlow Goes Ballistic with 5 Hits
It was a hits blitz for Joshua Critchlow at Field of the Red Dogs.

The Amoco Torch center fielder tore into the General Mills Lucky Charms for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but it wasn't enough to win the game. The Lucky Charms swept past the Torch, 11-7, to ruin Critchlow's day.

"We weren't locating our pitches well," Amoco manager Manuel Herrera explained after the game. "Once you get behind in the count, you have to make really good pitches, rather than pretty good pitches, and we weren't able to do that today. Getting 5 hits from Joshua was nice but it wasn't enough."

Joshua Critchlow doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Héctor Hernández in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.


On the year, Critchlow is hitting .371 with 33 hits, 4 home runs, 18 RBIs, .451 OBP and has scored 22 runs.
