Díaz Gets No-Hitter Against Anheiser-Busch
|
It was a fantastic day for Kodak Snappers starter Emílio Díaz and a lousy day for the Anheiser-Busch Budweisers.
The Kodak hurler's pitching artistry completely befuddled and bewildered the Budweisers, as the Snappers cruised to a 4-0 win. When it was all over, Díaz was credited with one of the rarer feats in baseball -- a no-hitter.
"The ball was moving and darting, and best of all, going where I wanted it to go," Díaz said later.
He rang up 15 strikeouts and allowed 1 walk while shutting Anheiser-Busch down at Conneaut College Grounds.
This season, Díaz has fanned 80 in 51 innings and collected a 3-1 record with a 3.71 ERA.
